How it works and what it assumes

Multiply each sale value by your probability for that grade bucket and add the results. Deduct selling fees, grading and shipping, then compare with the raw value after the same selling-fee percentage. The break-even calculation changes only the chance of a 10 while keeping the other buckets' relative probabilities fixed.

Use sold listings for the exact card, grader and label. Probabilities are your assumptions and must sum to 100%. The editable 13% selling fee is a planning assumption, not a sourced marketplace quote. Taxes, fixed selling fees, sale postage and optional grading charges are excluded.

Common questions

Will this tell me my card's likely grade?

No. You supply every grade probability and sale value. This is scenario arithmetic, not a grade prediction, authentication or guarantee.

Where should I get sale values?

Use recent completed sales for the same card, variation, grader and full label designation. Asking prices are not evidence of completed sales. Sparse sales make your estimates less reliable.

What does break-even probability mean?

It is the chance of a 10 at which expected grading proceeds equal selling raw, keeping the other grade buckets in the same relative proportions. Some inputs cannot break even; if all probability is on a 10 there are no lower-grade ratios to hold fixed.

Is the lowest bucket a guaranteed worst case?

No. The tool shows the lowest assumed sale value and the 7-or-lower scenario after entered costs. A card may sell for less, fail authentication or remain unsold.
