Photo pre-grading for trading cards
Know the grade before you pay for the slab.
Photograph a raw card and get the PSA grade range it would likely land in, with centering measured front and back and every corner, edge and surface flaw called out.
Free account, 3 grade estimates a month, no payment details. Pokemon, sports, One Piece and Riftbound. Estimate, not a PSA grade. Not affiliated with PSA.

How it works
Three steps, about a minute
- 1
Shoot the card
Front and back with your phone, flat on a dark surface, in even light. Up to eight photos, including close-ups of corners, edges and the surface under light from a low angle.
- 2
We measure and inspect
The card is located and squared, centering is measured from the borders, and an AI vision model inspects each corner, the edges and the surface for wear, whitening, scratches and print lines.
- 3
Decide before you pay
You get a likely PSA range, a point estimate and a confidence level, with the reasons. Submit the ones that clear your bar, sell or keep the rest raw.
What it checks
The same four things a grader looks at
Centering
Left/right and top/bottom splits on the front and the back, checked against PSA's published centering tolerances for each grade.
Corners
Each of the four corners scored separately for rounding, whitening and dings, so you see which one costs the grade.
Edges
Chipping and whitening along all four edges, which shows most on dark borders.
Surface
Scratches, print lines, dents, stains and creases, flagged where we find them.
Card identity
Game, set, number and year where the photo allows, so the estimate lines up with prices and listings.
Photo quality
If the photo is blurry, glared, angled or too small to judge, you get a reshoot checklist instead of a guess.
Accuracy, honestly
A second opinion, not a guarantee
GradePeek is new. We have not published an accuracy figure, and we will not quote one until it is measured on PSA-graded cards the model never trained on. When we have that number, it will be on this page with how it was measured.
What we can say now: photos cannot show everything a grader sees in hand. Light surface scratches, a soft back edge or a tiny crease can be invisible to a phone camera. That is why every result is a range with a confidence level, and why we refuse photos we cannot judge rather than guessing.
Use it to decide which cards are worth the submission fee and which are not, not to price a card as if it were already graded.

FAQ
Questions
Is this a PSA grade?
No. It is our estimate of the grade PSA would be likely to give, from your photos. Only PSA can assign a PSA grade, and GradePeek is not affiliated with PSA.
How accurate is it?
We have not published an accuracy figure yet, because we will not quote one until it is measured on cards PSA has actually graded that the model never saw. Until then, treat every result as a second opinion: the range and the confidence level are there to tell you how sure the estimate is.
Why a range and not one number?
Photos hide things a grader sees in hand, like light surface scratches and the back edge. A range is the honest answer; the point estimate is the most likely value inside it.
What if my photo is not good enough?
We refuse it and tell you exactly what to fix: glare, blur, angle, framing, or more than one card in shot. A refused photo does not count against your monthly quota (up to 20 refused or failed attempts a day).
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free one. You sign in with an emailed link, no password and no payment details, and get 3 grade estimates a month. The guides, pricing and this page are open to everyone.
Which cards does it work on?
Standard-size trading cards: Pokemon, sports, One Piece, Riftbound and other TCGs. Raw cards work best; oversized cards and cards inside thick holders or slabs may be refused or get a wider range.
What happens to my photos?
They are stored so you can see past results, used to grade your card, and never sold. Details are in the privacy policy.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from the billing portal on your account page. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
